Our first contact was in 2006 on Skype and ever since constant online chatting has taken place until today. Skype chats… BBM chats… Whatsapp...
After a few years of "virtual" friendship, we met in Livorno during the cruise Donna had to celebrate the achievement of her bachelor’s degree. We still remember the very first moment, when we saw each other. Lots of smiling (because Raoul couldn't understand a word and Donna was shy).
"...if you are still single and I am still single, [we] will get married" - this was one of many jokes we shared. But as fate would have it, 10 years later we fell in love and have been blessed with this awesome opportunity.
The first vacation we had together was in June 2015 in Tobago. We had the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful beaches and to talk about our feelings and our future.
We had other opportunities to meet over the time but one of the best was probably between August and September 2015. We spent a couple of days in Venice, looking at the monuments and having special moments with the romantic lagoon scenery between a snack and a dessert, obviously.
The night, the palms, the moon, the ocean sound, a sweet and beautiful woman, a man on his knee, a ring. So simple, so perfect.
